As the Northeast Regional Representative for the National Wildlife Federation (NWF), Zach works to build and maintain strong relationships with eight Northeast affiliates and other on-the-ground partners.
Zach has a varied career experience that includes grassroots organizing, lobbying and communications. After working for the Indiana Wildlife Federation – an NWF affiliate – Zach joined NWF’s national field team helping lead a campaign to pass climate change and clean energy legislation. He then spent more than five years representing Trout Unlimited on Capitol Hill and helped to improve the advocacy of the organization’s council and chapters across the country. Most recently, he worked for Spitfire Strategies, a consulting firm that works with nonprofits and foundations.
He is passionate about conservation and making organizations stronger advocates and environmental educators.
Zach earned his undergraduate degree in Political Science from Indiana University, and his masters in Environmental Science and Policy from Johns Hopkins University. He’s an obsessive fly fishermen and enjoys outdoor activities of all kinds.
