“This is precisely how the state should make decisions on public policy: get the information, and then decide. The Administration deserves credit for not attempting to rush a decision based on an arbitrary timeline.
“The public will not accept any effort to drill before their questions have been answered, and protections ensured. While public health is the foremost concern, we cannot ignore that the state has not done its job assessing the environmental impacts or fracking’s costs to local communities.”
