We fully expect that the State Senate and Assembly will stand united in common principle and take every action to protect New York’s environment, conserve natural resources, and safeguard human health.

Environmental Advocates NY looks forward to working with Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins, Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie, and every member of the Legislature to put New York on the path to being a true environmental leader.”

Since its formation in 1969, Environmental Advocates NY has been championing environmental policies that have improved health, protected wildlife, enhanced the quality of New York’s natural resources, and saved lives.

This year Environmental Advocates NY is calling on New York State to:

• Enact the Climate and Community Protection Act;
• Secure at least a $1 billion annual commitment for clean water infrastructure;
• Pass congestion pricing to fix and modernize mass transit; and,
• Amend the State Constitution’s Bill of Rights to secure a right to clean air and water and a healthful environment.
