Working to ensure communities are clean, healthy, and vibrant is at the core of what we do each day at EANY. Of course, our climate and water work brings benefits to New York communities, but our communities, especially disadvantaged ones, also face exposure to toxic chemicals through a myriad of pathways and experience the burden of our mounting solid waste and plastic pollution crisis.
With our communities work we strive to advocate and push policy that will help remove toxic chemicals from our homes and neighborhoods; that will tackle the solid waste and plastic pollution crisis; and that will ensure communities have access to environmental rights and justice.
Solid Waste & Plastics
The solid waste and plastic pollution crisis impacts the vibrancy of our communities. EANY is advancing policies to address the fundamental problems in the design of our waste systems.
Humans and wildlife are exposed to toxic chemicals in a myriad of ways. We’re trying to stop that.
Community Access to Environmental Rights and Justice
Environmental rights are integral to basic human rights to life, health, and dignity.
