Statement on First Day of 2019 Legislative Session

"Today’s historic opening of the 2019 legislative session brings with it the promise of a cleaner, healthier, and more vibrant future for New Yorkers. We fully expect that the State Senate and Assembly will stand united in common principle and take every action to protect New York’s environment, conserve natural resources, and safeguard human health.

Environmental Advocates of New York looks forward to working with Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins, Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie, and every member of the Legislature to put New York on the path to being a true environmental leader."
