There are many different ways to support Environmental Advocates of New York.
EARTH SHARE OF NEW YORK WORKPLACE GIVING
One of the most simple and efficient ways to donate to Environmental Advocates is by contributing through Earth Share of New York in your workplace charity campaign. Earth Share manages environmental giving campaigns in workplaces for environmental and conservation charities, nearly sixty local, statewide, national and international organizations.
By contributing to Environmental Advocates
through Earth Share of New York, you may pledge that a small amount
of each paycheck be automatically deducted to help protect New
York's environmental treasures. In addition, your payroll deduction
contribution can count as your membership to Environmental
Advocates.
What's more, Earth Share provides the option of giving a single gift
that is distributed among all of its members, covering the widest
variety of environmental and conservation issues. The choice is
yours.

BEQUESTS
There are several ways to make distributions through your
will. You can give:
A Percentage
"I give, devise, and bequeath to Environmental Advocates of New York ________ % of my estate to be used for its charitable purposes."
A Specific Dollar Amount
"I give, devise, and bequeath to Environmental Advocates of New York $ ________ to be used for its charitable purposes."
A Residue (The remainder after other bequests have been granted)
"All the residue of my estate, including real and personal property, I give, devise, and bequeath to Environmental Advocates of New York, to be used for its charitable purposes."
GIFTS OF STOCK
Gifts of stock can sometimes be more advantageous for you
than gifts of cash. When you give appreciated securities to
Environmental Advocates of New York, you can benefit in two
ways:

You avoid paying capital gains taxes.

You can deduct the full fair market value of the stock from the current year's taxable income if the stock has been owned longer than 12 months.
MATCHING GIFTS
Many employers want to support the charitable causes that are
of interest to their employees. To do this, companies make a
matching gift based on the amount of money you have contributed. To
find out if your company will make a matching gift, you should ask
your employer if they have a "matching gift program."

Keep your friends and family up-to-date on environmental issues
in New York State with a yearlong subscription to Environmental
Advocates for just $35.
Membership includes a subscription to our bi-monthly newsletter,
Green Sheet New York, hard copies of our reports on everything
from water pollution permits to environmental funding, and a copy of
EPL/Environmental Advocates' annual Voters' Guide, the only
scorecard of state lawmakers' votes on environmental measures.
